Somebody loves you
far more than you know...
With a love that keeps growing
as days come and go...
Somebody needs you
to make life worthwhile...
Needs your warm touch
and the joy of your smile...

The Beginning

Welcome to my website which I am building for my beautiful daughter Debbie. I would imagine you are visiting here as you either know, or know of, an autistic person. How do I know that?, well because I have found that only such people, have actually heard about Autism.
I had never heard of Autism, until my daughter Debbie was diagnosed Autistic, nearly 4 years ago. She is now 17, and the only reason that she was diagnosed, was due to the fact, that 4 years ago, she started suffering Post-Traumatic-Stress-Syndrome too. Up until then she had been diagnosed with 'learning difficulties' among others.
I would like to tell you some of our story, but my main aim for this website, is to let people KNOW about Autism, if you went through the pain most parents of autistic children go through, let alone having people look at your child like they are some sort of 'monster', (because they do not 'act' like a child is 'supposed to' in our society), then you would not be one of the people who are looking!!
I am not an over-anxious, or bitter woman, I would just really like, just once in a while, for someone to say..."oh, yes I know about autism", instead of the usual...."whats Autism?" And if enough people talk about autism it may well just happen!!

My Aims

Ok, I'm just a mum, with a very special Autistic child. But if you are reading this, then you are one more person who will know about Autism, and that will help me feel, that I have helped in my own way, for the fight for autism-awareness.

What you can expect

As I stated, I will tell you about Debbie, my beautiful daughter. I am also hoping to be able to put everything I can find about Autism on the 'net', here on my site. Not just to see how much information there is on here, but also, if as a mother, they can answer my questions about Autism. If I find sites helpful, informative, or find other pages like mine, I will add them on to my site so you can see for yourselves! With any luck, we can all learn about autism, together. I myself am still very new to this, so I would like to share what I have found and learnt with you.

Thank You so very much for this awardxx
